In an earlier post I taught you how to speed up your computer using Readyboost feature in Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. If you want read that post by visiting this link- http://teravo.blogspot.com/2014/12/use-your-pen-drive-as-ram.html
Today, I'm going to tell you how to use this feature in Windows XP. Windows XP does not allow Readyboost, but we can force it to Readyboost a Pen Drive.
1. First plug your USB pen drive to your Computer.(Pen drive should have at least 1GB of free space. I would recommend a 4GB pen drive)
2. Go to 'My Computer' and right click on your Pen Drive's icon, and choose Properties.
3. Then go to Advanced >Performance options.
4. Then go to Advanced tab and click Change.
5. Choose your pen drive's letter, choose custom size.
6. Give the highest amount of space you can, to Intitial size and Maximum size and click Set.
(the increase of the speed may depend on the amount of space you dedicate as virtual memory, in the last step)
